Boat show's first day draws holiday crowd

John Ravenhill didn't have two-foot-itis Thursday. He was infected with the desire to add nine more feet to his boat. So he did something about it at the Fort Myers Boat Show.

He stood outside the show's main entrance handing out fliers with a color photo of his 29-foot Four Winns cruiser and the words "Save $30,000" in red ink.

"I should have gotten the 38-footer," Ravenhill lamented.

As soon as he sells his $115,000 boat he plans to go in the show gates himself to buy the bigger Four Winns.
